Hiding Spots Magnetic Shape Album... Featuring the Paisley Cricut Cartridge & DCWV Farmers Market Stack

Here's my latest twist on a shape album. I call it "Hiding Spots" because there are hidden spots in the album under special magnetic flaps. Not only does this give you extra space for journaling or small pictures, it also adds dimension.

Cricut cartridges needed are G&BS, Paisley, Sweethearts & Doodlecharms. Optional for photo mats is Storybook. Most of the patterned paper is from the DCWV Farmers Market stack. Embellishments include...DCWV layered flowers, pearls & gems, Liquid Applique, Glossy Accents & Stickles. Magnets for hiding spots are from Basic Grey. You could also try small Velcro dots or Aleen's tack it over and over in place of the magnets.

Here is my first hiding spot...yep this cute little frog from the Paisley cartridge has something to hide. : )

The backside of the frog has a pocket and journaling tag. Ooops, I just realized I missed posting this picture. You can actually see part of the pocket & journal tag in the pic below, but the dragon fly page next to it was turned to the next page...the mushroom.

The mushroom is another hiding spot.

Love this Top Note cut from Storybook. Makes a great photo mat.

Cute little snail makes the perfect hiding spot.

My signature sun that I can't seem to get away from
is from Doodlecharms. : )

Lots of dimension to this album.

Quick Valentine Cards

Although cute, they really are quick and easy!

My first try at making a gatefold card. I used
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge for the layered scalloped
hearts. Lattice hearts are a Martha Stewart punch and
the scalloped border is Fiskars threading water border punch.

Pattern cardstock is from K&Company

Ovals are cut from G&BS cartridge. Saying is
computer generated.

For this card I was trying out my new Martha Stewart
deep edge border punch of which I love. Embossed on
the cuttlebug with the mini hearts embossing folder.
Inside of card is blank at the moment.

A Snowy Project - Simple Card Video

Here is a very basic card, but it does use the
"snow" technique with Liquid Applique. My
Liquid Applique bottle was almost empty so
it's not quite as good as it should be, but you
will get the idea. If you want to add sparkle to
your snow just sprinkle with glitter before embossing.

Paisley + Paper Doll Dress Up Equals

A stylin' girl. I just Love the new Paisley Cricut cartridge and could not resist trying to combine one of the outfits with a paper doll from PDDU. Although not a perfect fit I was able to tweak it enough in design studio to make it work. I think it's cute. The shoes are from EDPD. Face stamp is from Peachy Keen.

New Years News

I have some exciting news to share. The new design team for Treasure Book Creations was announced last night and guess what? I'm on it!! I am very excited about this opportunity. I have never been on a design team before so I'm not quite sure what to expect. The only thing I know is I will be doing what I Love.....designing and creating!!! : ) Congratulations to the other design team members! Please visit us at treasurebookcreations.com .

I also want to Thank all of you for your continued support. For taking the time to send such encouraging emails, for visiting my blog and posting comments. When I started my blog last June I mainly was doing it for fun and for a place to compile all of my creations in one spot. I never expected it to be what it is now and thought if I could get 20 or 30 followers I would be doing good. : ) You all have helped me exceed my expectations and for that I have to say, "Thank You"!

I am looking forward to another year of designing, crafting and fun! I've got several videos I want to do for you and will be working on them soon. Happy New Years Everyone!
