Garden Gate Mini Album Featuring Basic Grey Cardstock

I designed this album for a very special friend of mine. I hope
it brings a little touch of spring to her cold Chicago winter. : )
I used Cricut Design Studio and G&BS for the gate and the base
pages of the album. Other cartriges used...WIMG, Paisley, Home Decor,
MM, Songbird, P&F, FF and MC. Also used Martha Stewart butterfly punches &
a die from the Scrapping Cottage for the chair on the next to last page. Lots
of embellishments used...Stickles, Prima and misc flowers, buttons, pearls, & gems, glittered brads, ribbon & ink. Most of the paper is from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie collection.

I tried to make the gate very 3 dimensional. I love the little
hinges from the FF cartridge and the key charm.

Watering can is from WIMG. Flowers are a mix of Prima and Jillibean Soup.

Turtle is from Walk In My Garden

I had lots of inspiration for this page...the background
paper, a honeycomb embossing folder....and a very talented
designer...Monique Griffith. She made the most Adorable LO
using these cuts and I knew I had to incorporate them into my
album. Click on link to visit her blog http://monkeydoodlecricut.blogspot.com/

Soup Can Valentine Treats

Here are some fun little Valentine treats. This is not my original idea...I have seen it several different places.

Using a safety type can opener that doesn't leave any sharp
edges...open a pop top soup can from the bottom. Empty contents,
wash and dry. Cover outside with decorative cardstock and decorate.
Fill with candy or little goodies and hot glue the bottom back in place.
If using pattern cardstock remember you have the can upside down so
be sure the pattern will be upright when you turn the can back over.
The receipient will wonder how you got the candy inside. ; )
To cover the top of the cans I cut a 3 inch circle from George and
Basic Shapes. Then punched a 1 inch hole for the tab with a circle
punch. I glued a Dove chocolate heart over the tab.

Hearts are cut from Doodlecharms at 3 inches.

Liquid Applique Technique Video

This is not one of my better cards and I do not like it as well as my last, but have had requests to show how I did the cupcake on the last card. So for those that requested...know that I really wanted to delete this video and not show my card. : )
