A Childs Year Book

Although there are a couple of pages I really like,
I'm not sure I'm completely happy with this book.
I got a little messy with my ink in some places,
but figure ya gotta take the good with the bad. ;) I
think I am just a little off today.
Cricut cartridges used....A Childs Year and George
Basic Shapes. Misc Cuttlebug folders for embossing.
Primas, misc embellies, stickles and too much ink, LOL.

Here I am missing a close up of the little girl
holding the flower bouquet. Not sure what the
problem is, but couldn't get the picture to download.
The last two pages are probably my favorite.

  4. Lisa, that's adorable! I love it. I have a question.. when you make yours, do you weld the outside to the book, then turn around unweld it and cut out the entire image to paste on the front of the page?

  5. You all know how to make someone feel good! :) Thank you!!

SNOWMANLOVER, I'm going to post it on the board now.

Lorrie, I just add an extra mat or two and copy & paste each image I want to layer. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  7. Wow this is beautiful.
    I love everything about it.
This could almost be a book of my childhood years without pictures. all one would have to do is tell their stories.
    Wonderful job.

  12. Fantastic book!! I love the images and the inking looks great to me! What a great use for the ACY cart...one question...what do you use for your books...do you use cardstock, chipboard or cereal boxes...just curious!!!

  13. Hi Jeannine, I use a medium weight chipboard that I get at my LSS for the base of each book. It's heavy enough to be sturdy, but thin enough I don't need the deep cut blade. If you have good heavy weight cardstock you could definately use that too. Thank you!

  14. I just bought the cricut! I saw this and just love it. I noticed you said you could post the cut file. I am not sure what that means...but am hoping it can help me create this. If you are willing to give some guidance, I would be so appreciative!!!

  15. Hi luvtoscrap...in order to use the cut.file you will need to have the design studio program on your computer. Once you download the cut.file you can cut this book out on your cricut. Oh, you will also need to have George and Basic Shapes and A Childs Year cartridge to be able to cut it. You're going to Love your Cricut!!! Let me know if I can be of further help. Lisa
