Cut File Information

As some will notice a change in my cut file price and a couple of files that were on the free list are not any longer. Although I don't have to explain, I do want clarify. Through this whole process of offering cut files I have found that I now have created a job for myself. : ) I get many questions every single day that I spend a lot of time answering. While I am very glad to help, I have found I no longer have time for my own personal crafting and take much family time to help with all the downloads and questions. The two files I have taken from the free list are the ones that I spend the most time answering questions on. My Night Before Christmas album alone has been downloaded almost 2,100 times and with that has came lots of questions.

While the price I'm charging is still minimal, it will allow me to recoup some of the expenses that goes along with creating these projects. Yes, it does cost, not to mention all the wasted materials in trying to get things just right so all you have to do is download, cut and create. : ) The guess work is gone. I'm still donating my time and I'm ok with that as I do Love to help and teach others the wonderful art of paper crafting.

For those of you that want to create your own cut files, be sure to watch my video tutorials as I do walk through it step by step. Thank you for your support and understanding.

  1. I understand completely! These are your creations, and you have a right to be reimbursed for them. I'm actually glad to hear that you have a trial and error process, because I get so frustrated that when I'm making something new, I seem to waste so much paper figuring it out! I use cheaper cardstock until I get it right, but still...

  3. I totally understand where you're coming from. I go through tons of paper, working on my trial and error projects, not to mention all the time it takes creating them. Who wouldn't mind paying a tiny fee to use your files? Especially since you can use them over and over after they've been downloaded.

  4. I thought briefly about purchasing your Window
Fall album when you first listed it and then realized that I always buy patterns for my quilts that others have created. I immediately paid for the privilge of recreating your album. It is only right for you to receive something for your creative endeavors. Thank you for sharing, explaining and continuing to create!

  12. I completely understand - You are more than justified to charge for your work. You have very generously given your followers a choice - you show your work and your process and give us the ability scraplift your very creative talent for free or for a small (and I mean small) fee we can benefit from all of your time and talent. Your work is amazing and you should never feel bad about charging for your work! I love your blog but at this point in time I just haven't added mini albums to my portfolio (I don't even have time to keep up on my scrapbooks :-))but I love to look at your work and your site would be the first place I would turn if I ever do get inspired to try my hand at shape albums. Again - thank you for sharing your talent with us.

  18. I think you should charge a fee for all of your books they are so detailed, and just so cute you have to buy the carts to make them. I was also wondering how to download the file after I paid for it. Do you email it!! Thanks for offering the file.
