Are You Ready For...Another Layout By Crystal...
Yep, that's right Crystal is sharing her Nursery LO with us. It turned out so Super Cute! Notice some of the changes she made to make it her own and yet she did not use any additional cartridges. All items are from the cartridges I used in the original. She added different items to the armoire...a cute little truck and a stack of books. Notice the cute little onesie on the armoire door and of course the extra laundry in the basket below. I really like how she added ribbon to the top of the mobile that matches the bumper pad ribbon on the crib and offset the crib layers to give more dimension. Notice the buttons she added to the page for an extra touch. This is just so Adorable! Please be sure to leave her a comment as it was very sweet of her to share with us. Thank You Crystal!!

ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet layout for a little boy!! How did you do the brush?
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments. I really appreciate them. I never thought I could do something so intricate but after I saw the beautiful pictures of "Grandma's Pantry" I had to try. So I bought the file and went to work. It turned out to be easier than I ever imagined. Trust me when I say I am not the most patient person but because there were full color photos of the details in the layout and Lisa includes the tutorial to give you key information as well as suggestions it made the layout just come together. The hard work had already been done (the concept, the cut file, and the example) so I was free to explore ways to change the layout to meet my particular need. I think I am going to try a shape book next. I've never cut chipboard with my cricut before but I bought the 'The Night before Christmas' shape book file, some chipboard and I'm planning to start it next week.
ReplyDeleteHi TCahal- The brush is just a rattle in "New Arrival" but without the stripes. I covered it in glue and dipped it in microbeads then I used a little spatula to smooth out the beads. I am going to add a comb that I plan to just draw on cardstock, cut out and color it in using a light green or blue glaze pen to give it depth.
Crystal...the brush is wonderful. I missed seeing the detail at first glance, then after a second look saw the "bristles" and knew it was a brush. What a great technique! I truly Love the changes you made! TFS
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful example.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Crystal.
