This is my first "real" project on the Gypsy! Are you surprised? ; ) I am telling you, since the latest update...I Love my Gypsy. I am thinking there will be lot's more Gypsy designs to come. For those wondering...you can now convert Design Studio .cutfiles to .gypsy. The latest update makes this process very simple. I plan to do a video tutorial to show how this is done. However, there are already many videos on youtube so you don't have to wait on me. : )
Now for the wordbook...Cricut cartridges used...George & Basic Shapes, Base Camp and Life is a Beach. Solid cardstock is from papertreyinc.com and patterned cardstock is from DCWV. I will post the .gypsy file under free files.

That turned out great! What kind of binder do you use? I haven't really used my Gypsy much, so maybe you will inspire me!

ReplyDeleteThis is very "fun" indeed! Love the bright colors and playful embellies. Will have to give "book binding" a shot some time soon. I know I bought a BIA for a reason. :)
ReplyDeleteRoni...I use the Zutter Bind it All, but there is a new machine out called Cinch. I would at least compare the two before making a decision.

ReplyDeleteVery cute book! You always do such great work! I don't have a gypsy. Will the files transfer to my design studio? A Bind it All is definitely in my future. The "sand" paper from DCWV, what collection is that in? Just got home from Cancun and my daughter's wedding and have been looking for some paper.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous...I almost always use 3/4" wires for my albums.
ReplyDeleteann hunting...you can easily covert the file to a DS file. As soon as time allows I will do a tutorial on how to do it. In the meantime there are many videos on youtube.
Thank you everyone!

ReplyDeleteI am so excited to know that you are using your Gypsy. I am not very techie so I got a Mac and I love it. However, I couldn't use DS with it and felt I was really missing out---so I got a Gypsy. I will so look forward to seeing more from you done on the Gypsy--I have been a real fan of yours ever since I discovered your blog. Your work is fantastic and I will look forward to your tutorial on converting files.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, all of your crafts are great!
ReplyDeleteKori.
I only have the trial version of DS, would I still be able to convert the files to .gypsy? Thanks and as always loving your books. Amanda :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your talent! Angie
ReplyDeleteAmanda, you must have the full version to convert. I do have this file listed under free Gypsy files so no need to convert.
ReplyDeleteThank you all!
