Cricut Imagine - Rise and Shine

This layout was inspired by my ALL TIME FAVORITE commercial...EVER.  Do you know which one it is???

Yep... the Pop Tarts commercial from about a year ago.  It is very special at my house because Brent and I LOVED it.  It made us smile and got us dancing.  He would always go sliding and dancing across the kitchen floor.  It is just the happiest commercial and we had so much fun dancing to it.

I couldn't resist trying to recreate a similar "happy" kitchen... so when he is my age and I'm too old to dance ;)... he can look at it and remember the fun times we had dancing and laughing in the kitchen.

Thanks to the Cricut Imagine it made making this super happy layout a snap.  The images on Kate's Kitchen were perfect!
When doing the first page I forgot I needed room for photo mats as it is supposed to be a scrapbook page.  Guess that's what the 2nd page is for, LOL.

I was grasping for a dancing boy when I found Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk on the My Community cartridge.  Lean him forward and he kind of looks like he's doing the moon walk.  Sometimes you just have to use your imagination.  However...I hope PC will think about putting more little boys on some of the cartridges.  Even a dancing boy or two. :)

Due to trademarks I wasn't sure if I could actually call my tarts Pop Tarts so my recipe is for Toaster Tarts.  ;)
Cricut Cartridges:
Kate's Kitchen - appliances, kitchen extra's and pattern paper
B is for Boy - boy on stairs & dog
French Manor - kitchen table
Country Life - flower pitcher on table
My Community - dancing boy and kitchen chair
A Child's Year & George - stairs
Create a Critter - bird in window (actually a duck in handbook)

Peachy Keen is having a fun challenge.  See my project and other challenge entries  Here.

On another note...some of my work is going to be featured tomorrow on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. :)  Visit them Here.

I wondered if you might tell me how you made your kitchen cupboards. I haven't seen anything like that before. Is this on a cartridge?

    Thanks SO much for sharing!

  22. Thank you everyone for the sweet comments!

Christina...the cabinets are not on a cartridge, but easy to do by hand. Just cut a strip of cardstock to the size you want. Cut doors and drawers to size. Make doors look more realistic by lightly scoring them to look like beadboard. Add a little ink and some brads for knobs. Then add your counter top. I also added a baseboard to mine. Hope this helps.
