However, I did take the time to make a cute little party banner. I love how it turned out and especially how it hangs over the table. To do this I punched a hole in two opposite corners of the box and set an eyelet for added strength. Then I pulled the banner nice and tight and tied it through the eyelets. Banner will fold right up inside the box when it is folded up.
The birthday cake did not turn out like I had envisioned, lol. I wanted a cute dainty little cake, but ended up with a nice fluffy one... thanks to a good amount of Liquid Applique. :) I added some quick little pockets to hold her birthday money. All paper is from the DCWV Celebration Stack. Birthday Bash is the only Cricut cartridge used.
Happy Birthday Kara! We love you so very much!!!
This is fabulous! What a great idea with the banner. I love the paper stack. I just made a bday card with this stack today.

ReplyDeleteThe banner is great!
ReplyDeleteyour work is amazing, as always. I would love to know what adhesive you use.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for taking the time to post such sweet comments! :)
ReplyDeleteBarbara ... my two favorite adhesives are FabriTac and Adhesive Transfer Tape that goes in the ATG. FabriTac is very forgiving and gives you time to move your item around before it dries. The ATG will give you a good strong hold, but once it's stuck that's pretty much it. Depending what I'm doing I will also use hot glue for a fast hold. Hope this helps.
Jen ... I have pondered the idea of getting back to doing a few video tutorials ... so I might. :) I do have an idea for a Valentine / sweet shoppe box that I hope to do soon.
Thanks again everyone!
I love your box! I just used your banner idea on an aunt's 50th birthday explosion box card. Thank you for the inspiration.
