Larger Sheets of Cardstock ...

Am I the only one that would love to get my hands on larger sheets of cardstock?  Maybe 15x15 or 16x16?  I know the 12x12 is perfect when you are using the Cricut and other die cutting machines.  But ... what about all those handmade boxes and bags we like to make?  The 12x24 sheets work good for certain things, but not when you want a larger square box.  I'm working on an explosion box and was just thinking it would be nice if it were a little bigger.  Well that's my two cents for today. :)  Explosion box with a new twist ... coming soon.

    What about artist papers? I think they come in larger sheets or even pads. I know it is usually only white, but perhaps coud be colored to your liking with inks or even water colors? Can't wait to see this explosion box! Know it is going to be fabulous.

    Well, I'm from Israel - no 12x12 available, so I only have large sheets that I cut down to 12x12 - or whatever size I want. I believe they have them in the states too, maybe its called contact paper? Of course it wont be patterned paper unless you make your own. Often if I want patterned large paper I use heavy duty wrapping paper. Perhaps you can try that.

    Thanks for the great ideas ladies. I have used poster board on occasion ... if only it came in pretty patterns like Echo Park, imaginesce, DCWV. You get the idea. ;)

    I found Heidi Grace 12 X 18 Specialty Project Paper Pads at Tuesday Morning for $4.99 each - comes with 14 patterned papers, 4 double-sided cardstock sheets, 2 cardstock sheets, 2 glitter papers, 2 embossed papers, 3 cardstock templates,2 punch out sheets. I got the Baby Stack, Celebration Stack, Love Stack, and Family Stack. Great Buy!!!

    Once upon a time M's sold the MS papers and card stocks in larger sizes. It's been a long time since I've seen them in the stores. I think they were 18x18. Maybe they stopped sellinging them?
    Also, I agree with Wende... there are large pads of solid white papers in the Artist section of most major craft stores. I just cut mat layers to cover the white. :)

    Sounds like the artist papers will give a good base to cover with decorative cardstock. I will have to have myself a look. :) Must check Tuesday Morning for the Heidi Grace stacks too. Thanks ladies.

    I know MS makes 18x18 cs...I've bought it from M's when they used to sell it...have you checked out her web site?? maybe she still sells it...

    I would love to find cardstock in 24 by 36. I have only found it once at RAFT in San Jose. They are out now, any other ideas?
